A soulful love song by Phillippé Wynne, from his Uncle Jam Records album, Wynne Jammin' (1980), produced by George Clinton. Wynne was a Cincinnati singer and friend of Bootsy Collins with whom he formed a group called The Pacesetters in the 1960's. Bootsy & Phelps Collins joined the James Brown band in 1970/71 but left to pursue a carreer as The Houseguests. Wynne left to be the Spinners lead singer. In 1979, he joined the P.Funk forces during the "Uncle Jam wants you" period. Clinton formed Uncle Jam Records and signed Wynne for an album with more Soul songs than P.Funk jams. This album features a strong remake of Funkadelic's Never gonna tell it.
