My usual answer is no. I prefer my patients to be at a STABLE weight in their work and personal lifestyles. 5-10 lb fluctuations throughout the year is normal. If you are overweight, and you want to lose weight to be healthier. Please do so! But you must be able to maintain that weight loss. Otherwise, the results of the mommy makeover can be undone to some extent. If your BMI is over 35 I recommend weight loss to a lower BMI. Higher BMI patients have increased risk of complications of infection, wound healing issues and more. Hope that helps and best wishes!
Should I lose weight before a mommy makeover?
