I've always loved Surf casting or beach casting, I grew up doing this, although things got a bit more complex with all the stuff available to me now. As I grew and was able to acquire better rods, and reels, the rigs have changed as well. These I am showing are basically the ones I fish with these days. More often than not, it would be something like this or so. It's really not that complicated, but I know this isn't used by a lot of people so, I am putting it out there just in case someone wants to use them. These rigs are what's called Pulley rigs. They really aren't that complicated - and quite fast to tie, just as long as you have the materials for them. I am pretty sure they aren't popular in the US, as it is in the UK, where in one shape or form, the default rig for a lot of fishing. The Pulley Rig I am showing is very simple to make and I am showing two variations, one with an impact shield and the other without, I also show how to make this rig if you don't have the components - you can make your own snap that has a hook that serves as a bait clip - this enables you to use ordinary sinkers like the pyramid and pear sinkers.
