Now in regard to the title, there is no “right” way to train anything, everyone’s bodies react and adapt differently. However, these two exercises are about as specific as you’ll get for training the Bent Arm Planche. (Also known as the 90 Degree Hold) If you want to try short holds (sub 5 secs) without bands to see where your strength is at, it would be best to attempt these once every 2-4 weeks. (the less frequent the better) Doing so every session will create unnecessary fatigue and increase your risk of injury, especially if you’re new to this move.
