If you enjoy orchids this is the place to visit on the Costa Del Sol.
When we found out that Estepona, 13 miles south of where we were at Puerto Banus, had an orchidarium we just had to visit. When we arrived we found a fabulous, glass domed, modern architectural creation surrounded by an exotic tree lined street art adorned square.
The orchidarium turned out to be the biggest orchidarium in Europe. It cost us the princely sum of 6 Euro to enjoy this beautiful orchid floral spectacle! More than 4,000 different species of orchid are gathered together in this multi level building that even contains it's own waterfall and lake.
A mixture of colours, fragrance and sensations and an altogether unique experience at the very centre of Costa del Sol. Some orchids fall from the ceiling, others decorate the tree branches, others form gracious colourful patterns on the floor; and the nicest ones, the tiny orchids are only the size of your little finger’s nail.
