- The function of the new firmware (V01.02.00.50) has been tested.
- The newly added Pocket 2's HDR video function is a software image processing function that improves the dynamic range through multiple exposure shooting when shooting movies.
-This function does not create HDR video files, but generates SDR video files with HDR processing.
-In particular, using the HDR video function reduces the angle of view of the video. It also supports up to 2.7k resolution and only 30fps.
-Personally, I was hoping it would generate an HDR video file, but it wasn't. The functionality wasn't satisfactory, and I wouldn't use the HDR feature unless improved.
- With the new firmware, a .LRF file is created when recording video. This file is a 720p resolution preview video file of the original video file you recorded. (If you change the file extension to .mp4, you can play it.) It is a kind of thumbnail, but as it is a video file, it takes up considerably more space than expected. If you use a tight card with a small capacity, it will be a burden.
- This feature doesn't have an on/off option, and can't delete files directly from the device, so it seems in need of improvement.
-The function of the power button has also changed. Now press the power button to start up in selfie mode. To start up in normal shooting mode, press and hold the Fn button like Pocket 1, but to turn off the device, you only need to use the power button. It's a little uncomfortable.
