Jesus says, "Today bring to Me the meek and humble souls and the souls of little children and immerse them in My mercy. These souls most closely resemble My Heart. They strengthened Me during My bitter agony. I saw them as earthly Angels who would keep vigil at My altars. I pour out upon them whole torrents of grace. Only the humble soul is able to receive My grace. I favor humble souls with My confidence." (diary entry 1220)

My copy of St. Faustina's Diary is well worn as you can see. The prayers of this novena are straight from these pages with a few words modified by the Marians of Stockbridge for clarity. My contribution is the INCLUSION of the stanza Faustina wrote between her prayer to Jesus and her prayer to the Father. I'm not sure why this is omitted in most places, but I made sure to keep it here - I EVEN SING EACH ONE - since they really seem like a verse that should be sung. I hope you like them. They were so wordy that I had to write a somewhat chanting melody for them so they wouldn't sound clumsy. Let me know what you think.
