The Poltergeist Trilogy span from 1982 to 1988 and they were horror movies involving a possession. People believe there is a curse linked to the movies due to tragic deaths of cast members who were involved in at least 1 out of the 3 movies! Real bones were used on set, exorcisms took place and lighting striking the house they were filming in! It is fair to say there is definitely something attached to these movies!
