Video tutorial on how to apply Turtle Wax Jet Black tiring dressing. Before applying tire dressing, if you have new tires, be sure to refer to your tire warranty specifications to determine if a tire dressing will void the warranty. I recently had new tires installed on my car and yes it is outlined in the warranty that tire dressing will void the warranty, therefore I am not risking the usage of it. This particular tire dressing is supposed to resist browning, requires minimal maintenance, provides and deep black shine and lasts up to a year. So be sure to stay tuned for my review as well which will most likely be released next year sometime.

Tools/Supplies Needed:
-Turtle Wax Jet Black tire shine
-damp cloth
-nylon brush
-hose
-water
-gloves
Procedure:
-you will need to wash the tires to remove any road grim or old tire dressing
-Turtle Wax does supply a spray to clean the tires which does work good for minor build up, but for tough to remove grim or old tire dressing, I would recommend using Spray Nine
-also use the assistance of a nylon brush to help agitate the surface, ensure the tires are fairly black once done and they will have a satin finish once dry
-use an air compressor if needed to remove any water residue
-shake the product and then apply it to the foam applicator
-don’t apply an excessive amount first as we want it to soak into the foam applicator which will help with applying the product
-be extremely careful with the product as it’s very watery and face it away from your wheels
-rub the product into the surface
-for those textured sidewalls like I have, follow the pattern
-if you were to go against the pattern, the product doesn’t apply eventually and will wear out the foam applicator quite quickly
-if you have any lettering, ensure the foam applicator is damp and dab the surface
-it’s best to work in a shaded area to prevent the dressing from drying too quickly
-finally go over the area with one smooth symmetrical movement
-allow the product to dry for about 10 minutes, then apply a second coat
-again apply more product to the applicator and rub it into the surface
-if you find that the product does end up on the wheel’s surface, wipe immediately with a damp soft cloth
-additional coats can be applied, depending on the coverage and the shine you want to achieve
-I allowed the final coat to dry for 30 minutes just to be safe
