I believe we first heard Jimmy LaFave on one of our trips to Austin, Texas. We weren't hard to notice with our neon logo shirts and TV cameras and Jimmy's vocals weren't hard to notice either. Having heard him once allows you to quickly identify his voice any place you hear it. We were very happy when he agreed to perform for us and preserve his songwriting in the Texas Music Cafe music archive. Cancer took Jimmy's life in 2017 when he was only 61 years old.
