This patient was administered Peribulbar anesthesia (1.5cc lignocaine, bupivacaine each) in preparation for cataract surgery in the right eye.
A few minutes after keeping pressure on the globe, it was noticed that akinesia was achieved in exception of intorsion and Extorsion. As shown in the later part of the the video when the other eye moves up and down, the right eye intorts and extorts.
complete akinesia was achieved a few minutes later and the patient proceeded with uncomplicated cataract surgery.
