Augusto César Sandino was the leader of Nicaraguan rebel forces during the Banana Wars. His rebel armies forced the US into guerrilla warfare. Sandino was a militant liberal. Within this manifesto He not only calls to arms those willing the fight US forces but maps out his vision of a internationally funded Nicaraguan canal where the proceeds would fund not only rail road but robust education systems. He met his end in 1934 by assassination after calling an end to the country's National Guard.
