Saturn
gin, lemon, orgeat, falernum, passionfruit
The saturn is one of the few gin based tiki cocktails out there. Made by Joseph Galsini in the 1960’s, its floral, tart, yet decidedly tiki. Will be making more of these. A variant of this would just to shake it down and serve on crushed ice, but i found the blended version a little more refreshing.
1.5 oz | 45 ml gin
.75 oz | 22.5ml lemon juice
.5 oz | 15 ml orgeat
.25 oz | 7.5 ml falernum
.25 oz | 7.5 ml passionfruit syrup
combine all into a vessel with 7 ounces of ice. blend until it reaches a smooth, icy consistency. pour into a tall glass, garnish with a lemon peel wrapped cherry
