The BBC's Europe Editor Gavin Hewitt goes to Berlin to find out how comfortable the Germans are with their new role as Europe's most influential economic superpower.
The eurozone crisis led to Germany becoming the paymasters of Europe and, although Germany has bailed out many countries, there has been anger towards them with Chancellor Angela Merkel being portrayed as a Nazi by demonstrators in Greece, Italy and Spain.
