A Hydraform block is manufactured using a mixture comprising of soil and cement which is compressed by means of hydraulic pressure. The preferred soil type is classified as sandy - loam soil.
The soil must be free from organic material, not contain harmful quantities of salt, and contain sufficient clay to bind the block, so they may be handled immediately after manufacture without disintegrating.
Hydraform machines produce "Interlocking stabilized soil blocks" or ISSB. The required "stabilizer" is Cement; this is mixed with subsoil and about 5 - 10% water to produce a mix that feels slightly moist. The mix is molded under high pressure to produce interlocking blocks.
TpESTATE Sierra Leone Limited owns one of these machines and we use it to manufacture Hydraform Blocks in Sierra Leone. These blocks are used to build luxury houses in Estates we develop for rent and sell.
We build sustainable, luxury, and affordable houses using Hydraform Building System for buyers and renters in Sierra Leone.
