Shiva Tandava Stotra written in Sanskrit describes Shiva's power and beauty. It is traditionally attributed to Ravana, the King of Lanka, who is considered to be a great devotee of Shiva. Ravana is believd to have composed the hymn in praise for Shiva, and pleading for moksha (salvation).
The stotra has 16 syllables per line of the quatrain, with a 16 quatrains in total.
Choreographed by Guru Dr Saroja Vaidyanathan and performed by her disciples Sudhana Shankar, Gayatri Deka, Debasmita Thakur, Akanksha Rana, Mridula Nambiar and Pranathi Iyer.
