THE NEW HBT HIGH TORQUE DRIVE SYSTEM
CONVEYOR PERFORMANCE RE-DEFINED
Currently, HBT is developing a new drive system for face conveyors, plows and beam stage loaders which will represent a major innovation in the underground mining industry.
The HBT HTD4100 High Torque Drive motor is a converter-fed permanent magnet excited synchronous MV motor (PMSM), designed for a mechanical power range of up to 1600kW, with maximum torque of 170kNm at speeds up to 600rpm. The motor is specifically designed to achieve extremely high torque utilization and torque overload capability.
The torque motor features very high efficiency - up to 98 percent depending on the working point - with excellent thermal behavior.
The system is currently undergoing extensive performance testing in the inhouse test center.
