Hey everyone! This weekend I had the opportunity to attend the Saturday morning portion of the Ridgway Railroad Museum's Annual Railroad Days. It was my first time out here since they put in the loop of track and it was great to see and ride both Galloping Goose #4 and the replica of GG #1. I had seen #4 parked in Telluride for years but finally getting to see it in action in its birthplace of Ridgway was super cool! Now I just need to ride Goose #2, 3, 6, and 7 before I can say I've ridden them all!
The volunteers at the event were awesome and I applaud their efforts to preserve history and make it a great event for those in attendance. Last year they had the same event but called it "The Gathering of the Geese" where they also had Goose #5 from Dolores and Goose #6 from the Colorado Railroad Museum. Would have been neat to attend that!
