Excited to share the painting process of this rare painting that was sold recently. 3 last art prints (on canvas) are availble at a ₪770.
The process took over 30 hours of painting, no grids, no tracing paper, no projector and no other shortcuts. I got married on the passing day of this man and I named my son after him. I poured my heart into this painting, it is very meaningful to me.
80 years ago this great Jewish leader,
Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Schneerson died in tragic circumstances. He had 3 sons, the firstborn is the Lubavitcher Rebbe. The rebbe said;
"My father gave his life helping to preserve Judaism in communist Russia; thus his Yahrzeit has great significance for all Jews – especially when we see the fruits of his self-sacrifice continuing to bear fruit today, with countless Jews from the Soviet Union observing Torah and Mitzvos".
Rabbis Levi Yitzchak's Yahrzeit is this weekend when we mark exactly 80 years for his passing in 1944. כ' אב תש"ד- תשפ"ד. Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Passed Away in Soviet Exile
Though he was a master Halachist (an expert in Jewish law), a beloved communal leader and a world-famous Kabbalist, he also worked tirelessly for Humanitarian Causes. Yekaterinoslav absorbed a large influx of refugees during 1st and 2nd world war and both Rabbi Levi Yitzchak and Rebbetzin Chana did their utmost to provide for them.
