Around 1,000 migrant domestic workers will be let into Singapore under a recent pilot meant to bring them in safely amid tightened border restrictions. The first batch of around 100 workers are already being onboarded in their home countries. The employment agencies association said they should arrive by end-July. The number won't be enough to meet demand from over 10,000 employers who have been waiting several months for their helpers. Priority goes to those with caregiving needs, such as families with infants or seniors.
