The beautiful and historic town of St. George's, Bermuda was first settled in 1612, and was the first capital of Bermuda until 1815.
During the American War of Independence, at the request of George Washington, St. George's folks shipped gunpowder to the Independence-seeking Americans.
In the town you will find the historic St. Peters Church - the oldest surviving Anglican church in the Western Hemisphere; the old State House - the original Parliament of Bermuda - and much more.
