A rectal temperature of more than 100.4 is called fever. There are two ways of temperature measurement oral or axillary. Symptoms such as sweating, chills and shivering, headache, muscle aches, loss of appetite, irritability, dehydration and general weakness. Causes of fever are infection, inflammation, autoimmune disease, cancerous disease, dehydration, etc. To prevent fever in children one should make sure the child is not overdressed or in tight clothes, keep them hydrated and through medication.
