Tetra Pak, a food processing and packaging solutions company, has partnered with synchrotron radiation laboratory MAX IV to develop the next generation of sustainable food packaging - fiber-based packaging. The research will explore the nanostructure of fiber materials, beginning with optimizing the composition of materials for paper straws. Fiber-based packaging is made from fibrous materials and is fully recyclable, making it an environmentally friendly alternative.Through this partnership, the companies hope to create new, more durable, and sustainable fiber-based packaging that meets food safety standards.
