Welcome to Bonita's Kitchen! Today we will be making BLUEBERRY SYRUP, these blueberries we picked here in Newfoundland and Labrador last summer and I froze them fresh. This delicious blueberry syrup will be lovely for your pancakes, ice cream or favourite dessert. See recipe below!
Ingredients:
1 1/2 Cups blueberries fresh or frozen
1/2 Cup white sugar
1/4 Cup water
Method:
Add all ingredients to your saucepan and let boil on a medium heat stirring until all ingredients starts to boil.
• Stirring until it starts to reduce the liquid and it starts to bubble, and it reads 200º to 225º F on the candy thermometer.
If you don't have a candy thermometer, let cook for 15 minutes or so. SEE VIDEO FOR MORE DETAILS!
• Remove from heat and pour into jar, serve hot or cold.
• Store in fridge up to two weeks, label and date jar.
I apologize in advance if anything in this video is not clear or miss read, please follow my recipe when making this dish.
