In this example, I'm going to show you how to copy and rename a whole bunch of files all at once very quickly, using the Pack and Go command. By the choice, go to file, click on Pack and Go. Traditionally if I had a bunch of files I needed to rename (I mean a large ASSY), it would be kind of a painstaking process to go back in, and go into Solidworks Explore, open each file and click on Rename, look for all of the references then automatically update those, or even try to go to do Save As inside of Solidworks, or try to do Windows Explorer and try to rename the files, and then try to look for them. You know, it can become very messy with a lot of files, trying to rename them, it that bad, and this is the easiest way. "Pack and Go" the same with "Save Management" on CATIA V5.
