Serious Eats Manila: Bistro Madrid Spanish Tapas Bar and Deli | Super Paella | Black Angus Salpicao. Bistro Madrid is the Spanish Tapas Bar and Deli concept of Chef Juan Carlos De Terry which gives you a tour of regional dishes around Spain. It was first opened in 2017 and has expanded to a few branches around the metro, today we visit their BGC branch at Forbestown Center. Chef Juan Carlos De Terry has been in the restaurant industry for decades and is recognized in Manila for Terry's Selection the premier European Deli and Restaurant which has a gourmet selection of cheese, cured meats, bottled and canned products and wine.

Upon entering this 2 floor 40 seat restaurant, you will immediately be charmed by the warm ambiance with wooden floors and tables, brick walls and blood orange washed walls. The deli aspect is small but functional and has a decent selection of cheeses and cold cuts that you can bring home or have it served in the restaurant.

From their menu which is quite extensive we would highly recommend every dish we ordered including the 8 Pieces Fresh Oysters Shucked As You Order, Chopi Fritos deep fried baby squid, Gambas Al Ajillo, Super Paella Parellada and USDA Prem Black Angus Ribeye Salpicao. Buen Provecho!
