'Kvæfjord cake or Verdens beste in Norwegian is a sponge cake baked with meringue, vanilla cream and almonds. The cake is named for Kvæfjord, a municipality in Norway. In September 2002, the cake was named Norway's national cake by listeners of Nitimen, a Norwegian entertainment show.

►Ingredients:

Egg Yolk - 2pcs
White Sugar - 65g
Cornstarch - 30g
Milk - 240g
Vanilla - 3g ( Forgot to put in the video :) )
Gelatin - 3g (Mix in water- then dissolve over low heat)
Cold Water - 1 tbsb
Whipping Cream - 160g

Butter - 80g
White Sugar - 70g
Egg Yolk - 2pcs
Milk - 45g
Cake Flour - 80g
Baking Powder -4g
Salt - 1g

𝑴𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒖𝒆

Egg Whites - 3 pcs ( 3pcs egg whites typo in the video)
Cream of Tartar or Lemon Juice - 1g
White Sugar - 120g

Almond Flakes - 50g
Powdered Sugar - For Dusting
Caramel Sauce - For Drizzle (Optional)

Molder - 2 pcs - 7 inch Round Pan
Cake Ring - 7 inch
Acetate - Optional
