Application: The Rough Country 3.25-inch lift kit with shocks fits 2007 – 2017 JK Wranglers. The kit is available for either a two or four door Wrangler. The kit is an entry-level solution to give you enough of a lift to run 35-inch tires. It provides the basic list of components in order to keep the price low, but it’s recommended to purchase geometry correction brackets to realign the front axle’s pinion and caster angles.
Construction: The kit includes front and rear 2.5-inch linear coil springs powder coated in silver, along with .75-in spacers, which provide the overall 3.25-inch of lift height. The shocks included in the kit are 2.2 hydraulic series shocks, which utilize an internal rebound disc spring for energy absorption. The kit also includes brake line extension brackets and a rear trackbar bracket. In addition, Rough Country provides rear sway bar links, which then allow you to re-purpose the rear factory sway bar links in the front.
Installation: The installation is straightforward and is similar to most other suspension installations. It’s important to note that the kit doesn’t provide axle geometry correction brackets or control arms to correct the pinion and caster angle. This is an important step in the installation that will prevent unwanted driveline vibrations or a flighty steering feeling while driving. The entire installation can take up to 6 hours to complete.
