Early GOES-7 CLASS satellite imagery archive has the following limitations:
- Data integrity issues, with black or white lines across some of the frames.
- Data gaps in archive left intermittent gaps in the animations.
Satellite animations of “The Perfect Storm” or “Halloween 1991 Northeaster” which caused quite a bit of damage along the Northeast U.S. coastal areas. The sequence begins with Hurricane Grace being absorbed by this large and strong extratropical storm, and then the extratropical storm transitioning into an unnamed hurricane.
