Congratulations to Saint Joseph’s University’s Class of 2020. We are proud of your remarkable achievements.
Before we celebrate each of the graduate and doctoral degree recipients, Shane Varughese ’20 gives valedictory remarks to the SJU community to start the graduate conferral of degrees.
This day is a major milestone for all of the class of 2020, marking the end of one journey and the beginning of the next. We encourage you to learn from the current leaders, like those on the front lines, challenged by the coronavirus pandemic. Everyone has the capabilities to be a leader in their lives and in their careers. As you lead in the future, remember to stay connected to your values and those you have developed here. The principles of your time here will help you on your journey as you stay connected with your relationships from SJU and beyond, continue to learn from others, and always continue to improve yourself.
The journey will always have its hurdles. Do not back down in fear, but rather continue to push on and learn in the face of new challenges like you have this semester and throughout your graduate school career. Congratulations again to all the graduates of the Class of 2020.
