Levodopa is the gold standard of Parkinson’s treatment. But taking lots of carbidopa/levodopa pills a day to avoid off periods can not only be burdensome, but can have unwanted effects. As Parkinson’s progresses, it can slow your digestion and, therefore, the absorption of your medication, causing a delayed response, failed response, or increased dyskinesia. If you experience wearing off, delayed on, or are taking numerous carbidopa/levodopa pills a day, it may be time to change course.
Introducing Duopa. In this online program, we’re going to dive deep into what Duopa is, when it may be right for you, and how its delivery of carbidopa and levodopa may be the answer you’re looking for: fewer interruptions for a better quality of life.
Join us for a conversation with Maria Christina Ospina, MD, Kaler Ray, MHS, PA-C, and Brian Ford as we talk through the process and experience of Duopa.
