Curtis James Jackson III (born July 6, 1975), better known by his stage name 50 Cent, is an American hip-hop artist. 50 Cent is best known for his albums Get Rich or Die Tryin' and The Massacre. He went platinum on both albums and sold more than 20 million CDs and 40 million singles worldwide. His third album Curtis was less successful. 50 Cent has used arguing or getting into trouble with others on hip-hop tracks (so-called beefs) as a very successful marketing strategy.
