Hello and welcome to GamerU tips and tricks for Crossy Road for the iPad.

While many mobile devices these days can be held in either “Portrait” mode, with your device held upright, or “Landscape” mode, with your device held sideways, most games normally restrict you to one screen mode.

This game gives you the option the use either mode as you wish. This is great because each mode has its advantages and disadvantages for your gameplay.

In “portrait” mode, you are able to see a taller version of the screen. This offers you a better view of what is coming up ahead of you and gives you time to prepare.

“Landscape” mode limits the rows that you can see ahead of you; however, its wider view of the screen offers you a better idea of the more immediate dangers and helps you to handle them better.

The view that “Landscape” mode offers is a great way to handle things happening right in front of you and is usually the better option when aiming for high scores.

If you wanted, you could play a single game in both modes, switching back and forth as you need each mode; however, I have tried and all the spinning of the screen is bound to give you a headache. Both screen views offer plenty to see so all it really comes down to is whether you are looking towards the future or at the road in front of you.
