The Election Commission of India held a press conference on Friday in Delhi. The poll body announced the dates of Assembly elections for Himachal Pradesh. The term of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly ends on January 8, 2023. The EC, however, did not make any announcement about poll dates for the Gujarat assembly elections. The poll body had recently visited Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh to take stock of poll preparedness. Himachal Pradesh has 68 assembly seats while Gujarat has 182 seats.
