This is tied for my favorite cover from The Beach Boys and various artists from their Stars And Stripes album recorded with country singers in Nasville, TN. This particular song has Timothy B. Schmit from The Eagles singing a great lead in front of The Beach Boys sounding like they’ve never blended better in their career!
I remastered the audio for clarity and stereo width, and used footage from the DVD Nashville Sounds upscaled and remastered to make a music video. Enjoy the new 60th Anniversary of The Beach Boys logo at the end as well.
Say what you want about the genre collaboration or sales, but the production on this album was really good, and the Beach Boys vocals were incredible. EG Listen to the background vocals on 409! I’d love to be able to do a mix with Mike in the lead over this version.
