The Cavaliers won their first conference home game of the season by defeating the Blue Devils, 30-27. UVA led by 10 but after a late Duke touchdown, the Cavaliers were able to recover an onside kick to lock up the victory. Virginia quarterback Anthony Colandrea completed 21 of 30 passes for 278 yards and three touchdowns. Colandrea also ran the ball nine times for 66 yards. Wide receiver Malik Washington caught eight passes for 112 yards and a touchdown. During the game, Washington broke the Virginia school record for receiving yards in a single season. For Duke, quarterback Grayson Loftis had 278 yards and two touchdowns on 26 of 45 passing. Running back Jaquez Moore ran the ball nine times for 100 yards and a touchdown.
