In Today’s Kims Adventure we visit Legoland California 2022 in Carlsbad. It was a beautiful sunny day when we arrived.
The parking cost $25 for regular, and $35 for preferred and RV’s. The park opened at 10, but allowed guests to come in at 9.
Before entering make sure you download their app as they don’t give park maps anymore.
It was real handy in keeping track of showtimes and navigating through the park.
The first ride we went on was the coast cruise. It’s always impressive to see these models made entirely out of lego bricks.
It was now time to seek some cheap thrills at the Lego Technic Rollercoaster.
We next go on the Lego City Deep Sea Adventure. The line was a bit longer on this ride, but Legoland provided a convenient building station for the kids. This is a great idea to keep children entertained giving parents a much needed break.
Nearby the driving school there’s the Sky Patrol, another interactive ride where you can go for a spin in a helicopter.
It was now time to go on the kid power tower at the duplo playtown.
Climb a rope to the sky for an amazing view of the park, then release the rope for a fun ride back down. It was nice because while me and the boys got to have a great time, Ellie was off playing in a little lego town.
Now it was time to visit Lego Movie World, a two acre zone based on the movie series. There are recognizable landmarks such as Emmet’s Apartment Building where they hold meet and greets. Enjoy homemade asian cuisine at Everything is Ramen. Or hop aboard Benny’s Spaceship right in the middle of Bricksburg, A several stories tall space-themed playground structure.
Jen and the boys went on Emmet’s Flying Adventure, a thrilling riff on the flying double-decker couch featured in the film. You’ll feel like you’re soaring over colorful “lands” such as Middle Zealand, cloud Cuckoo Land, and the Sister System.
We only had a few more hours before the park closes so we looped over to gamespace located near the 4D theatre.
We then went to the Lost Kingdom Adventure a dark ride where guests can shoot various targets and earn points. Our last ride of the day was the bionic blaster.
Finally the Sea Life Aquarium is an interactive guide to life at sea. To enter you’ll need to purchase a separate admission
Overall we were grateful for the opportunity to experience Legoland at Carlsbad.
