5. STILL of President George W. Bush meeting with Prime Minister Milos Zeman at the White House
STORYLINE:
U.S President George W. Bush continued to meet with foreign leaders during the run up to the United Nations General Assembly meeting in New York on Saturday.
On Friday afternoon, the U.S President meet with the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic in the Oval Office at the White House.
Following the meeting, Prime Minister Milos Zeman told reporters that the Czech Republic had presented offers of aid and military assistance for U.S-led war against terrorism.
He said the offers "cannot win the war against terrorism" but stressed they were more than "simple expressions of solidarity" with the United States.
On the issue of NATO expansion, Zeman said the Czech Republic army was making specific plans in order to accommodate NATO's plans.
The Czech Republic Prime Minister is planning to attend the United Nations General Assembly meeting in New York beginning Saturday.
