As a diamond-handed well regarded software engineer, I bought the Surface Pro 7 Core i7 16GB / 256GB SSD over a year ago with the intention of using it on my commute to work on side projects. One thing that happened was that I no longer needed to commute and didn't need an ultra portable computer any more. However, despite that, the machine has been a joy to have. It is a great portable computer that has bonus features like a stylus and tablet mode. Definitely something I don't regret buying despite the lack luster tablet performance and battery life.
