This overlooked song is from the obscure Electric Havens album recorded in 1968. Credits are not given on the record or the album cover. I've been informed however that Havens didn't write the song himself.
I'm a stranger here Lord
I'm a stranger everywhere
I'm a stranger here Lord
Stranger everywhere
I could go home
But I'm a stranger there
Ain't it hard to stumble
When you've got nowhere to fall
Ain't it hard to stumble
When you've got nowhere to fall
In this whole wide world
Lord Lord Lord,
You just got nowhere at all
So I'm going to saddle up my pony
And I'm gonna saddle my big black mare
I'm gonna saddle up my pony, Lord
I'm gonna saddle my big black mare
And I'm gonna ride this whole world
Oh Lord I'm gonna find me somewhere
I'm a stranger here Lord
I'm a stranger everywhere
I''m a stranger here lord
I'm a stranger everywhere
Yeah, I could go home
But I'm a stranger there
Stranger there
