CBS Radio News at 2 a.m., Sunday, May 6, 1973, reported by Anne Crosman. At the age of 28, Crosman became the first woman hired by CBS radio to do full-time hourly newscasts. Important newscast as it reports that White House Council John Dean had just blown the whistle on Richard Nixon regarding a coverup of Watergate. This is the first time impeachment of Nixon is suggested. U.S. Representative Bella Abzug (1920-1998) suggests steps be taken in this direction. Meanwhile, Ralph Nader predicts that there is enough reason for Nixon to resign. Nixon was still a little over a year away from his resignation.
