In this edition we bring to you the graphic story of the trial and execution of Ken Saro Wiwa at a time that Gen. Sani Abacha was Nigeria’s Military Head of State. It was a trial that caught the attention of the international community with several world leaders calling on Sani Abacha not to carry out the execution of Ken Saro Wiwa and 8 of his brothers but just by a twinkle of an eye, Ken Saro Wiwa and his 8 Ogoni brothers were executed at the Federal Prisons in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria on the orders of the military and their bodies disposed of in an unmarked grave. It was one of Nigeria’s worst moments in the eyes of the world. It was tragic. It was horrific. It was unacceptable to many but to some it was justice in return for the action of the persons that stood trial and became executed.
