Today I've been making espresso cups. The finished cup will hold 125 ml which, according to Google, is the optimum espresso shot.
I do find it a bit trickier making smaller items one handed. It is harder to manipulate and centre smaller balls of clay. I think it may be due to size of my hand possibly. Also a bit awkward wiring off the wheel so I'll need to rethink my method. After a few hours I also realised that the optimum weight for an espresso is around 250 grams (for me at least anyway)
I also took the opportunity to try out my new multitool for shaping the rim and it works a treat. No doubt I'll perfect my technique eventually ;)
My next video will be trimming and handles.
