Sapcote Engineering have designed and manufactured an automated PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) valve assembly and test system for cycle time reduction and increased productivity.

The system can test 6 different variants of PCV valves by changing system parts quickly using the S.M.E.D (Single-Minute Exchange of Die) principle.

The system is integrated with the following features:
• Ultrasonic welding with full feedback and data capture for quality control.

• Multiple pick and place mechanisms.

• Multi-vacuum and pressure flow test with leak detection fully integrated onto the machine.

• Highly accurate vision inspection for 100% quality control.

• Flexible and rapid laser marking for pass part traceability.

• Dowelled and colour-coded components for rapid change over
(S.M.E.D Principle).

• 3D printed components integrated onto machine for rapid prototype
manufacture.

• Integrated PC and touchscreen HMI (Human Machine Interface) for machine control.

• Bespoke electrical panel fitted to machine to give full turnkey system.
