On September 1, 2016, Caltrans District 4 and its project partners joined in a ribbon cutting celebration for the State Route 29 (SR-29) Channelization Project in Napa County.
The event marked the completion of major work on the $16.7 million dollar project which brought multiple safety improvements to this vital route through the Napa Valley. The project widened SR-29, rehabilitated the pavement, widened highway shoulders and constructed a new two-way left turn lane making the route safer for the approximately 22,000 daily drivers who travel on SR-29 near St. Helena.
