In this video, I talk about one way I hope to improve the surface finish of my metal castings. I plan to do this through the use of a tapered sprue former. This will allow me to make a narrow, tapered sprue to pour the molten metal into the sand casting mold, controlling the flow of metal and reducing turbulence. This is one quick tip to help in the metal casting process and hopefully will make my aluminum and bronze castings better. There is no melting metal in this particular video, just me blabbering on and on. I also nearly cut myself with a sharpened trowel, so there's that.
