The Doctor Who: A Celebration concert from back in 2006 is astonishingly underappreciated - so much so that a lot of people don't seem to realise that it happened. It was pretty much the precursor to the Doctor Who Proms, and featured the National Orchestra of Wales performing a selection of tracks from Series One and Two - some of which are well-known and yet haven't been performed since (such as Westminster Bridge). The limited catalogue of music that existed at the time meant that a lot of lesser-known tracks got a performance, too.

Sadly, the concert was never officially released, and so the only copies available tend to be disappointingly low quality! Not only that, it's difficult to find, even on YouTube. This series will thus be my attempt at cleaning up the audio and video of these concerts to as high a quality as possible. The copies I have have been pulled apart and rebuilt, cleaned up, re-eqaulized and (where appropriate) tempo-corrected. The 2006 concert was filled with all kinds of bugs and (presumably to aid in performance) a lot of tracks weren't played at the correct tempo - most notably the songs. This has been fixed for the remaster, and the tracks now match the tempo of the released (soundtrack) versions.

Part Two is Westminster Bridge, in its only ever live performance.
