In 1969 AHM Rivarossi produced the American Railroads Centennial train in HO and N scales. Coaches and two locomotives were made, the GG-1 and 2-8-4 Berkshire.
These were two of the locomotives that pulled the American Railroads Centennial train from New Jersey to Ogden Utah to celebrate the centennial of the driving of the Golden Spike at Promontory Utah on May 10 1869 completing the nations first transcontinental railroad. The Train was put together by the High Iron Company.
Other locomotives that pulled the train were Union Pacific 6900 and 8444.
