spinach dip recipe cream cheese
Spinach Artichoke Dip Yummier than Applebee's
Ingredients
½ bag of spinach (about 4 oz, 110g)
A half can of artichoke hearts (200g)
1 Tbsp of unsalted butter
1 Tbsp of all-purpose flour
1 cup of 2% or whole milk
3 chopped fresh garlic
4 oz of cream cheese (a half stick)
½ cup of Asiago cheese (Romano cheese is good too)
½ cup of Parmesan cheese
1 cup of Mozzarella cheese
½ tsp of black pepper
½ tsp of salt
1. In boiling water, add spinach leaves for about 2 minutes. Let it cool and drain water.
2. In a saucepan, add the butter, flour, and milk and keep stirring to avoid lumps.
3. Watching the sauce, add the chopped garlic, the cream cheese and let it melt while stirring. Add the Asiago cheese and Parmesan by grating them over the saucepan, then the Mozzarella goes into the pot. When all the cheese has melted and the sauce is creamy, sprinkle salt and pepper to taste.
4. Drain the artichoke hearts and cut them into medium size. Add the artichoke hearts and the spinach to the saucepan. Stir them in the sauce.
5. Place the sauce in the container and add the Asiago cheese, Parmesan, and Mozzarella one more time.
6. Place in the oven for 30-35 minutes at 350F.
Enjoy With Nacho chips while the dip is still hot and bubbly to taste the stringy cheese.
