Welcome back to Bleeding Cool's weekly review of FXX's long-running comedy It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia; as the series steamrolls through its hopefully lucky 13th season, we're taking a look at the season's second episode 'The Gang Escapes.'
Nothing against Cindy (Mindy Kaling) because I feel like we’re going to see her again, and her insane scheming skills could definitely put her in a position to be the gang’s official “super villain” moving forward. But for now, Dennis (Glenn Howerton), Mac (Rob McElhenney), Charlie (Charlie Day), Dee (Kaitlin Olson), and Frank (Danny DeVito) are back haunting the streets of South Philly so… let the narcissistic depravity begin!
Which is exactly what we see happening in this week’s episode ‘The Gang Escapes,” where the “fatal five” agree to be locked up in Dennis and Mac’s apartment for a team-building “escape room” experience. There’s no way that won’t go smoothly, right? Smooth as sandpaper…
So check out our review of 'The Gang Escapes' and see why we're convinced they're still trying to get out even as we write this.
Spoiler Warnings: I’ll be covering some themes and takeaways involving major and minor plot points from the episode, so just keep that in mind. Definitely not looking for pitchforks and torches outside my apartment.
